Britain is infamous for its rainy weather. Most people carry an umbrella or poncho because you never know when the rain will start. Autumn and winter can bring snow and cold winds, but rain is still the predominant element. The Spring blossoms in Britain are colorful and plentiful, and make the parks and gardens come alive. Summers are mainly sunny and it never really gets too hot, but you may want to pack your swimsuit anyway.
The heaviest tourist traffic in Britain occurs in July and August. Many people from the European Continent visit during these two months, as well as Americans and Canadians. If you wish to avoid tourist season, May and June are perfect times to visit.
